Milton Keynes Launches Self-Driving Bus in Groundbreaking Trial

Milton Keynes is making waves in autonomous transportation with the launch of a self-driving bus trial, as part of the LivingLAPT project – an ambitious international research project co-founded by EIT Urban Mobility.

The electric shuttle, from technology provider Aurrigo, is equipped with advanced sensors and navigates key locations in the city. The trial aims to gather passenger insights to find out how the service can be developed to meet local mobility needs. The initiative showcases the city's commitment to sustainable technology and positions it as a global template for integrating self-driving vehicles into urban landscapes.
