Context
The evolution of the freight transport sector is marked by a growing adoption of autonomous technologies aimed at improving efficiency, safety, and reducing operational costs. Trials are multiplying for 'last mile' transport but also for long distances. However, large-scale deployment faces regulatory, ethical, and public acceptance challenges, requiring the establishment of harmonized legal frameworks. This Masterclass aims to review the progress of automation technologies for urban distribution and to focus on the risks and opportunities for the supply of different regions in Belgium.
