ULTIME PROJECT
The ULTIME project is an innovation project focusing on the urban logistics sector. It is funded by EIT Urban Mobility for a 24-month period and is being carried out by 3 partners :
The project aims at tackling the challenge area of sustainable city logistics by leveraging the potential of XR (Extended reality) to train practitioners with an interactive tool that will help to better include stakeholders in the design of new logistics solutions.
Alongside the interactive tool, the project will develop associated training content building capacity of participants to improve the impact of stakeholder engagement and city design. The starting point of the training is recognition of importance of including stakeholders in city logistics. Besides an overview of various tools, the training will equip the participants with a portfolio of solutions allowing them to approach the stakeholders, illustrate how the urban logistics is organised in cities and how to move towards a global approach. Finally, the training will zoom in on the possible solutions the public space can be better designed and shared to support the development of more sustainable transport of goods.
The digital twin will allow participants to use a virtual space where they can interact and test different street and/or building configurations. At each stage of the training, the participants will be required to participate in the learning process also by providing feedback to the training developers in the form of focus groups, questionnaires and role plays.
